Sue Marlene Little (1933-2019) was a resident of Cleveland-Bradley County, Tennessee for 47 years.
A former newspaper reporter, photographer, and writer, Sue wrote articles and used photography to promote many philanthropic causes benefiting people and pets. After retirement, Sue helped form and manage non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of pets and people. Sue wrote a weekly column in the Sunday edition of the Cleveland Daily Banner during the last two decades. The column showcased local heroes dedicated to respecting God’s creation and creatures in the community. The Sue Little Memorial Fund is the sponsor of the 2020 "From My Perspective" Art Exhibition and this year's awards. A jury of professional artists will grant four (4) Silver Easel Awards to artworks of exceptional creativity, expression, or design. Silver Easel Award Winners will receive a commemorative plaque and a $50 gift certificate for art supplies. A special one-time award, the Sue Little "Legacy of Love" Award, will be given to an artwork featuring animals and embodying the theme "God's kindness to all living creatures." The winner of the Sue Little "Legacy of Love" Award will also receive a commemorative plaque and a $50 gift certificate for art supplies. |
